Teaching Job Description (Carrollton/Oak Cliff):
Responsible for providing instruction to students and assesses student progress within the Special Education setting. Provide students with appropriate learning activities,materials and equipment that will reflect an experience designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth while using appropriate instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that demonstrate an accommodation for individual needs of students assigned. Manage student behavior in the classroom, administer discipline according to procedures, maintains confidentiality of all information, treats all students and staff with respect and professionalism. Participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops. Collaborates with Assessment Specialist and Student Advisors with regard to student discipline issues, educational progress, or lack thereof. Confer with students and/or parents regarding problems of underachievement. This position includes participating in ARDS, completing IEPs in assigned areas, assisting with assessment of Present Level of Performance, working with all Special Education staff as it relates to Special Education student's transition need. Assist Regular Education teachers as they work with the Special Education population. Position requires a certified Special Education teacher. Alternative certification candidates will be considered.
Salary depends on experience; however, teaching positions start range from $35,000-37,000.

Paraprofessional Job Description (Hobby):
Assist assessment personnel with all phases of Special Education process including: ARD process, Testing and SPED Coordination; Assist classroom SPED Teacher in the preparation and management of classroom activities and clerical requirements; Work under the supervision of a certified
teacher.Requirements: HS Diploma; Two years of college or Associates Degree.

LSSP/LPC Job Description (Oak Cliff):
Assist students with behavior, emotional and/or medical issues that affect their school performance and potential for lifelong success; Participates as a member of the educational team to ensure academic and social success of students.
Requirements: Master`s Degree required; Current LSSP or LPC license required; Experience with at risk adolescents a plus.

Math Position Available

Bruceville-Eddy High School is searching for a Math Teacher for grades 10-12. The position involves teaching Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Cal, & Calculus. The position will remain open until filled and will start January 4, 2005. Bruceville-Eddy is a small town on I-35 between Waco and Temple.
